Our school garden produced an abundance of spaghetti squash this year, so the Foods 1 class got creative in the kitchen! 🍝 Students harvested the squash and tested out several delicious recipes — from pizza crust and casserole to carbonara. What a tasty way to learn farm-to-table cooking! #WildRoseWildcats

👨‍🏭 Our 7th graders had an awesome experience at Manufacturing Day hosted by Waupaca Foundry! Students toured the facilities, learned about the manufacturing process, and even got to create their own keychains to take home. 🔧✨ A big thank you to Waupaca Foundry for giving our students this hands-on opportunity to explore future career pathways! #WildRoseWildcats

Our 5th graders had an amazing time learning about the outdoors at the Central Wisconsin Environmental Station! 🌲🌳🌿 Hands-on experiences like these make learning unforgettable. ☀️ #WildRoseWildcats

🇺🇸 Middle/High School students and staff joined together to recognize POW/MIA Remembrance Day. With the support of the American Legion Daniel Dopp Post 370, the solemn display of the Missing Man Table served as a powerful reminder to honor those who were prisoners of war and those still missing in action. We will never forget. ❤️ #WildRoseWildcats

On Monday Wild Rose Middle/High School kicked off “Wonderful Wisconsin Week” with some Wisconsin themed trivia! Students answered questions about places in Wisconsin and state symbols to earn chocolate and yogurt covered cranberries! 😋 #WildRoseWildcats

8th graders were busy in the kitchen whipping up some flavorful veggie fried rice—healthy, colorful, and delicious! 🌱🍳✨

Foods 1 tried something new and delicious—Shakshuka! 🍅🍳 This flavorful North African dish was made with fresh tomatoes, and most students gave it a big thumbs up! 👍 #WildRoseWildcats

Reminder:

The Waushara County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with other County agencies, local Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, and the School District of Wild Rose, is conducting an Intruder/Evacuation/Reunification Drill at the Wild Rose Middle/High School on August 26th, 2025, from 8 AM to 12 PM.

On this date, we will be conducting active threat training that will have role players. You may see ambulances, fire trucks, police cars, and other first responder vehicles. You may hear the fire alarm, simulated firearm sounds, and people calling for help/yelling. Please know that these are part of the drill/exercise/training and that there is no risk to the public.

Local first responder organizations have been working with a county-wide school safety team designed to create a unified response to critical incidents. All agencies in our County have been part of the development and planning alongside all school districts in the County. We believe that a unified plan for all parties in our County will provide a better response.

We will be setting up a perimeter around the school using barricades and other first responder vehicles. Please do not move the barricades.

We hope that a situation like this never occurs in our area, trainings like this one allows us to have a better understanding and preparedness should something happen.
