Wild Rose Elementary Physical Education WINS! ⚽️🏃
REACH Waushara celebrated Rural Health Day last November with a one-day, community-wide walking challenge to get everyone moving.
As community members logged steps and miles throughout the day, local elementary schools were invited to extend the effort by participating in a week-long walking challenge.
Mr. Kane from Wild Rose Elementary enthusiastically rallied his 5K–5th grade physical education classes and encouraged students to get their families involved at home. The response was inspiring. Ninety-one families participated, an increase of 15 families from last year. Between the physical education classes and at-home participation, students and their families logged an impressive 1,415 miles.
In recognition of their hard work and commitment to healthy habits, REACH Waushara Wellness rewarded the students with fun items they selected for their classes. Their efforts are a great example of how small steps can add up to big impacts for community health! 💜💪

Mr. Eichmann’s 6th grade science class turned up the heat during a hands-on “fire” experiment! Using a Rubens tube, students watched flames dance to visually demonstrate sound waves.
